Not building boost

I was driving on the freeway and the car randomly went from making 20psi to only 4psi. No check engine lights nor did it go into limp mode, it also sounds terrible like there might be a exhaust leak. So my question is could the exhaust leak that just occurred cause the car to lose boost or is there a second issue. I’m just at a complete loss since it won’t throw any codes. The car is also a 2010 135i with the n54 motor not the n55

Check all your connections. Vacuum lines, etc. hopefully it’s something as simple as that.

If you're not making boost you need to physically check connections. If the car is modified and you're not the original owner there's every possibility the relevant codes are disabled.
