N55B30A--> N55B30O0/M0

This is going to be an open ended thread throughout the next steps for my 1er.

I have a 2013 135is with 120k miles, not necessarily a collector car.

I’ve had the car for 3 years, did some light mods, DP, Intercooler 7.5”, MHD. Now i’m currently looking for a X5D, and that puts me in a spot to really go all in with the 1er.

Time attack is the goal, and a B30A is just not going to take me where i need to be without serious work. I’d like to stay true to the N55 platform if anyone is curious.

Has anyone swapped a B30O0 or M0 into their 1er? I’m assuming it’s the same bolt pattern for the getrag box as the M2, correct me if i’m wrong! Im trying to get as much info as i can before i jump in.

is it worth going to an o0? if your going to motor swap why not just b58 swap or build the n55?
