It was flight of the Silver 1'ers yesterday afternoon heading off the Ipswich Motorway onto the Centenary Highway around 4:30pm. I was in my 135i and a 125i was beside/behind me (didn't get the plates).

Spotted QSH17Z this morning, car sounds loud! Didn't realise you had an exhaust?

Hey Richie! I would've flashed my lights at you but I always seem to forget which side stalk to flick and accidentally wash my windscreen! But I did give you a decent wave although not sure if you saw that Yeah, as Vinney has let on, I do have the performance muffler. It's damn loud inside so I can imagine how loud it is outside.

The Perf exhaust is something I was looking at as I was leaning towards something with a muffler. Brad would you mind me asking what your total landed cost was?

I dunno Vinney. I've been thinking about taking it off already. For me, I need the ability to switch between standard and performance but of course that's impossible. Even driving it "quietly" keeping below 2500rpm it continues to grumble and crackle...not the greatest given the ridiculous hours I'm driving around at.

Hey Matt! The muffler was US$695 plus US$285 shipping so approx $900 landed as I don't remember the exchange rate at the time. However, I think the 135i version is more of an exhaust than muffler and as such is more expensive to buy and likely also to be more expensive to ship.

I sometimes worry about being a bit too loud too but as long as you make an effort to keep the rpms down I'm sure everyone will appreciate that. Also I think if anything the PE exhaust on your car sounds exotic more than anything else, it's not some droning fart cannon you've put on a non performance car. My neighbours F430 constantly burbles and crackles when he puts around the neighbour and if anything I want him to floor the gas when I hear those exotic sounds! I'm not trying to compare our cars to that beautiful NA V8 but a BMW straight inline six with the PE is |

Matt - I'm starting to think the PE is perfect for your needs if you don't want something overly aggressive like mine as I don't have the muffler. If I was tossing up between Maddad and PE and wasn't planning to go any louder I would go with PE for sure. It will hold more value on the car as well.

I'm sure most workshops would charge you almost the same amount to install both. It's a really straight forward installation, the only challenging part is to make sure they don't cut off too much or not enough because the tips may stick in or out too much. I'd go for it
