UK group buy on akrapovic ?
Hi all. Am firmly on the slippery slope (should get my head examined) but just curious to know if anyone
a) would be interested in a group buy, and b) has any thoughts on whether we can negotiate a discount on this pricey upgrade ? I'm unsure about full system vs slip-on but love the idea of having the car turn from beast to [quiet beast?] at the touch of a button. A bit like the fantastic Porsche Sports Exhaust. Apologies if this is a double post, I did a search and didn't see any other similar threads. |

From what I've heard I think you're very unlikely to get a discount via a group buy.
However, what I'd suggest doing is getting in contact with a reseller and working our the dimensions of a deal - we need something already worked out to commit to, an someone needs to own that. i.e. come back to us and say "If 3 people buy a full system the price will go down from x to y, and if 5 people buy a slip on system the price comes down from a to b". Otherwise no-one is able to commit to something that doesn't exist...

Totally agree. My only worry is that even with a large discount (25%?), no one is really interested due to the high starting point of the akra system...

Spoke to the UK distributor. V nice chap (Richard), but as you mention above, I'm cynical about their willingness to discount the systems.
Anyway, I'm not giving up yet so have agreed with Richard that I'll drop him a note with an idea of the number of potential orders that we could provide. I suspect any discount is likely to be c.15-20% maximum. Anyway, if anyone would be interested, please post on this thread and I'll accumulate into a single message. I personally think I'd want the full system with the wireless/switchable option, but please state which alternative you're interested in. As a reminder, RRP below: Slip-on system: £2,615 Evolution: £4,342 Wireless kit: £615 Downpipe (stainless, catless): £615 Slip-on + evolution include carbon or titanium tips All prices included VAT. |

at my dealer they only sold "full" systems,
but then you need to adapt the mapping too I got a fairly good quote, but I first want to see a "graphic" of the torcque, don't want one of those 70ties turbo's nothing and then ALL HP AT ONCE so I'll wait :-)
