SLeK Designs 1M Side Diffusers

Made out of our VARTM technology which insures perfect fitment, durability and stiffness. The side skirts are 100% hand made in Southern California with raw materials used from the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, France, UK, Italy and Australia. As well as having highly trained and experienced carbon fiber experts crafting the side diffuser.

Not only do these side skirts give the 1M a more finished appearance, they are also a valuable component in the aerodynamics of a performance vehicle. At a high rate of speed, large volumes of air travel along the sides of a vehicle, the air ends up affecting the underbody airflow which is not a positive thing. These side skirts make the underbody airflow smoother akin to any normal side skirt in the way that it keeps extraneous amounts of air (such as air from the vehicles sides) from entering the underbody area.

Like all of our products at SLeK these side diffusers are completely constructed of carbon fiber and/or the latest epoxy resins to obtain the lightest weight and yet yield the highest strength possible. Is there anywhere where I can see more shots of this car? I really like the subtle touches That finish out the bottom of the car and take away from the rounded "belly".

Make much more sense to make these for the 135i market instead of the m1 only market how many units can they hope to sell? So slek make them for us please!

I've tried to convince them. They said it would only happen if they had 10 people that pre purchased them to pay for the costs / recoup development since they aren't sure if people are willing to pay for high end side skirts. Price would be pretty much the same as these.

Well if they made 1m still I would have bought one.. I didn't want to buy a used one that someone has driven hard unless it was me.. lol...

I used to have a ZR1 Corvette and I loved the carbon side skirt on the side.. was a nice finishing touch... I have seen the BMW performance side skirts with a lip on in blue... Its on this forum... I know there are alternative's like universal carbon creations out there that they make the carbon a certain length and you just mount it and cut to fit... I prefer something molded to the body that looks factory..

I hope they make it.. Maybe we can start a thread for this interest in the side skirts.. They are obviously capable of making them.... Or is this thread for that?

I'd suggest make a new thread. If 10+ people are willing to pay 1k+ for these sideskirts I can convince them to make them. People might have to preorder though. They will be custom made to fit the mold of the car, just like the 135i front lip is. I had to leave my car with them for over a week to have that done.
