Thanks. I found it. Now just to find a level place with a wall. And I so agree with you about the left "PASSING" lane.

Is this going to affect car with adaptive headlights?

I am planning to level them slightly higher.

Thanks.

Affect, how? It sure makes people move out of my way sooner If they aren't scared off by my Performance Exhaust, then my headlights will do the trick

All this talk about the adjustment, but how high should the beams be referenced to the ground? The same height as the headlights on the car?

Anyone have an answer for this? What is the correct setting that BMW intended?

I know I can adjust them to what looks right, but that's quite subjective.

I just have the car parked about 3 feet away from a wall. I set the headlights at height which looks to be level with the height of the headlights. I then drive the car and adjust as needed.

I had my BMW dealer adjust my headlights to factory specs as I thought the lights were aimed too low. The lights were still too low per the factory specs. The settings I have the lights at right now is perfect for my driving. Throws light far enough down the road for me to see well enough ahead but not so high where the lights don't illuminate the road or blind oncoming cars.

Hi all -I have a 2008 E88 convertible. I have adjusted the low beams via the 6mm allen key in the white adjustment wheel but can't see where to adjust the high beam lights. One is good but the other is rubbish - anyonw know how to do this ?? - thanks.

Is one of them maybe not out of adjustment but instead actually broken? The mounting tabs for the light where it bolts to the car, or some kind of an assembly inside of it? I had my 1-er for 13 years and the lights were as good as new the whole time. I'm thinking of one of yours is way off maybe it's sustained some damage.

Nope - checked and
everything looks good. It will discourage me from driving at night which is a good thing anyway - too many kangaroos around here at night.
