I joined in May 2005, just after I decided I wanted the car.
I believe the forum is paid for by Mark and Jason (the admin) and they get a tiny bit of commission from the tire-rack banner in the wheel and tire forum which helps pay for things like the stickers. They are really awesome guys - and are basically doing this forum for the good of the motoring public...a selfless act. I applaud them for being the leaders of our excellent community and running the site so well! Thanks guys. I've had very many happy hours/days/months on this site... (even though every one thinks I am an addict) |

For now I am sure the admins are putting a lot of their own money/time into this site....but over time as more people buy e90's this site should start becoming profitable.
I own a g35 right now, and I am always on g35driver.com.......that site used to very much be a fledgling site as well. But now they have tons upon tons of sponsors, people visiting the site, and people who actually pay to get a membership on there. The membership does have incentives to join though, for example, monthly giveaways, access to special group buys, etc..... |

Jason and Mark are co-founder/co-owners of this site to my knownledge.
Maybe admins should create their own "my story" thread. That'll be an interesting read. who they are, how they started this site, etc.

LOL.
THe story is basicly as you guys have said already, me and jason started the forum and pay for it ourselves. Its alot easier to do it between two people. Long story short is that, i've been a bmw fanatic my whole life pretty much, and have been involved with them for about 10 years now. I used to be alot more active then I am now, but i'm still around at shows, etc.. When the E90 came out, it was instant love for me ! But because of the new design direction of BMW, alot of older BMW people didn't see it the same way alot of us do. Noone wants to see the E90 become shunned, so this site was born; and I figured we could make it into one of the best of all the BMW communities... With diehard enthusiasts, a good source of DIYs and technical documents all organized into one place, wheels and tires expertise, etc.. I think we're getting there.. now I just need that 335i to come out so I can put in an order |

If BMW actually drops Turbo's on the new 335.......their sales will be off the CHART!
And this site will become a Mecca for all the guys trying to squeeze more HP out of those Turbo's. |

In the beginning there were Jason and Mark. And they created the E90Post.com forum. And it was good.

Maybe you could have come up with something like, Jason and Mark are aliens or, 4500 years old, or something cool like that.
