Any word on AA being able to enable the DISA valves if the hardware is installed?

some one somewhere(e90post?) said that it will, via adaptation and other such things...

I very much doubt the DISA valves will be enabled via adaptations!

In the last two weeks I have dedicated hours to reading the posts in the 3 Series and Z4 forums on the 3 stage manifold. In posts by "C" in the Z4 forum in 2010 he said that he replaced his single stage manifold with a 3-stage....... and, with no tunes, felt that it was noticably faster to red line, he got no codes nor had any issues with performance, and said that he witnessed the two manifold motors operating.
There is a lot of information by "C" including a diy for installation (on Z4). Another poster is "kirkpart2". Included in the posts is info on AA and ESS tuning. I'm pretty much at the point where I'm going to start hunting for a used manifold. First though I gotta check and make sure that the wiring is there for the manifold motors. Jack

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455180 What else have you learned about DISA w/out tune. I know it operates based on RPM value. For those with AA,the question is still if an AA tune before DISA knows how to use the DISA to get max potential.

Thank you!
Now you just need to adapt the e90 N52 exhaust for us.

My next project will be the manifold, just a bit hesitant because my car is still under the CPO warranty until 2014

It looks stock enough and should work without a tune for 5hp

The good news is that I do have the AA tune and Andrew told me to work with me on it. I might just look into sourcing one.

I don't mean to harp on this, just want to make 100% sure-- you're saying you can enable the 3 stage intake manifold from the 330i if it's installed on the 128i, using the stock 128i ecu?
Also... any chance you have a header tune for the 128i? Ideally need a tune for a 128i with a 330i intake manifold and SS headers. If so... order inbound

Is that what you meant, or just turn them off so they read as "not ready" on an OBD2 test?

We can turn them off as in not ready. We have recently found the code in many models to turn off just the code itself (readiness on) so its only a matter of time .
Not many people have headers on these cars though. |

I remember reading a while ago that n51's have 3 stage intakes but less compression. Anyone know if this is actually true?
