Maybe you guys can put up WTT threads, see if there is any interest in the glacier trim.
I wouldn't let something as easily user-replaceable as the trim get in your way of enjoying a new 135! |

Production switched in the month of March for me. It took 2-3 weeks for the factory to do the transition. So it was about early April when they actually started production (with the order made in late February). I finally received in mid-late May.

Congrats on the build! Looks like you hit all the main packages with Harmon sound! I can't wait to have some new 135's out in the wild....It's kinda lonely out here seeing nothing but blah base model 3 series day in and day out.
I built the '12 LCI model in May '11 and took delivery the first week of July '11. She just hit 23,000 miles this weekend! Can't stop driving it! I can't believe its taking you guys so long to take delivery, but I must say it is worth the wait I absolutely love the rarity of the 135i m-sport (6 speed manual). You just don't see any of them out there. I have not seen one 135i m-sport 6 speed since I received mine. Not one! I mainly see the older 128i convertibles around and thats it, but even that is tough to come by. Believe me you will not regret it, I've never more fun in a manual and I own a manual 5 series and 3 series. I've had NO problems since I took delivery, not one! Just be sure to keep your shadow trim clean so it doesn't get a dryspot/oxidation look - the sun will bake shit in if your not careful. Please post pics when you take delivery, can't wait to see!!! That's truly pathetic. I hope they worked out some kind of arrangement for you or you were able to go with another dealer. But having the salesman just not order your car is truly stupid. Did they give you a reason for this??? Best of luck with everything though!

Thanks! I most definitely will post pics of it when it arrives! I did, however, switch to the 135is so I'm even more exited to get it now. Should be here around the middle of August! |

So no blacklines on yours either and you also have the chrome border grilles. Be sure to add your pics to this thread on the 135is: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733405

Nice 135is, but $52k for a one-er is some serious change. I have a feeling when the 2 series comes around it will be a choice between the N20 in a 228i and an M235 with a $50k or higher price tag. It's all about how the new fuel efficiency rules are limiting the quantity of small cars with big engines that manufacturers can build because small cars have to get better mileage than the big ones. Production is cut via high prices. Total profit remains about the same as margins per unit go up. This started with the big price increase for 2012.
I also think the DCT is going away on the 2 series in favor of the ZF 8 speed already used in the M135i.
