Where to buy BMW Carbon Fiber?
Hi guys,
I'm picking up my 135i AW Manual next month. In anticipation I really would like to pick up some bits and pieces. I've scoured the BMP Performance Accessories brochure and think the carbon fiber bits available look great. As a starting point, I'd like to fiddle with the cosmetics. It's going to be a daily driver so not THAT interested in improving handling or power (I'm trying to hold back here!!) I'd like: Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser Carbon Fiber Lip Spoiler The prices BMW quoted me a ridiculous - $550 each for the mirrors, $2.6k for the diffuser, $1200 for the spoiler. Can I get these anywhere cheaper? (These parts will be for a Nov/Dec 2012 build vehicle) Thanks! |

BM Mini parts for OEM BMW gear. The diffuser is a good buy I reckon. The mirror caps don't looks so great IMO but each to their own.

Thanks for the link mate. They sure have a lot of parts. I hope I pick the right parts when I order! Prices look much better than what we have here.
I'd prefer to stick to OEM parts, that way I know the quality and the fitment is spot on. |

For comparison, my 135i bought new in June from Westside, the
Carbon Fibre Spoiler $596.41 Carbon Fibre Mirror Cover $330.22 each thats what was on the contract anyway. the reality was that the final negotiated price for the car essentially got these bits and more free of charge. if you are buying this car new, i'd push for 'free' addons such as this. it is so easy to take your business to another bmw dealership that might be just a wee bit more interested in getting your business. When i bought, i negotiated with nsw, qld and vic based dealers, and i found the qld ones generally speaking the best and most negotiable. |
