18" Hyper Silver VMR 1701 on Cashmere Silver 135i
What's up guys? I just got myself some Hyper Silver 1701s for my 135i. I thought I'd just share a couple pictures, as it's hard to find pictures of rims on cashmere silver 135is. I don't like how much the tires are stretched, but I'll take care of that once these ones are worn. Thanks for looking!

That looks damn sharp. I still wish that I would've went with the Cashmere Silver. Are you running the factory sizes for tires? I replaced my runflats with Michelin PSS (225/40's on the front and 255/35's on the rear.). I'm looking at the 18" V701's and VB3's.

Thank you much for the compliments. The cashmere silver is pretty classy looking imo. I was lucky to find one. They are the factory tire sizes. My next tires will be 225/40 and 255/35 like yours. Just a warning, if you are looking for gunmetal finish, VMR has none of them in stock for any of their rims in 135i offset. I wanted gunmetal at first, but I ended up settling for these. Thankfully, they turned out pretty good. Now I just need to tint my windows and install my yellow HID angel eyes, and I'll be done with my exterior mods.

Same wheels I'd like to get for my 135. Looks like they fit pretty well, I was afraid they'd be a bit aggressive. I highly doubt it, but you getting any rub? Definitely need more tire, at least on the rear.
Man, looks like they had to stack the weights on that rear wheel. Wonder if that is a problem with wheel balance, or the tires? |

It's actually starting to grow on me, but I'll still be getting the tires a size wider next time around.
Quote:
Decided to run out there tonight and look: Front Driver Side: 8 weights @ 1/4oz = 2oz Rear Drive Side: 13 weights @ 1/4oz = 3.25oz Front Passenger Side: 11 weights @ 1/4oz = 2.75oz Rear Passenger Side: 19 weights @ 1/4oz = 4.75oz So, it doesn't seem too bad other than that one wheel. The old set seemed to have a similar amount of weights on them. Thankfully, the shop I go to seems to have glued them on there very well. Hopefully, they won't fly off too soon. haha Last edited by blakelocati; 10-24-2012 at 12:30 AM.. |
