Bay Area Dealers - Which Dealers are positive?
I'm staying away from BMW SF altogether.
What other dealers are good or bad in the Bay Area? |

Try Concord or Fremont. I ended up buying at Concord because they gave me a deal for buying a new Cooper at the same time. Got $1k off msrp for the 135 back in late March and picked up the car last week. I just received an e-mail about a "sale" this weekend where they have a 128 for $34650 discounted from $35900 MSRP.

Bay Area Dealers- Which ones are positive
I purchased from BMW Fremont and got a great deal ($500 over invoice) on a 135i convertible. CA was very nice and am satisfied with the experience there. I am still waiting for them to ship the floormats and wind screen.

Wow! How did you get that price? Did you pay MACO and Training Fee? Name of your CA, please?

Kerri Till is great, she used to work at Sonnen but is at Concord BMW now.
I'm a bit perturbed at Jenn Bishop at Weatherford...even after asking her to remove me from her e-mail list after I bought my car on 12/20, she continues to e-mail me. I just got another e-mail a few days ago and sent her a REMOVE request AGAIN. I hope she does something about it this time. |

Old thread but in case anyone searches and finds it, I'll add my impressions.
Freemont - Friendlist place, and best location for a test drive. Jesse is a good person to seek out. Mountain View - Least friendly (of the three listed here), and worst location for a test drive, unless you are very familiar with the area and are mostly interested in driving in snarly congested traffic. Stevens Creek (san jose) - Middle friendly, middling place to test drive. Less strange and complicated than MV, but nothing like the open roads available in Freemont. (I mention the surrounding roads because for me, on a test drive, if I have to figure out what the heck is going on with traffic and intersections etc in an unfamiliar place, with a salesperson yabbering directions at me, I'll have a tough time paying close attention to the car, and driving it the way I like to drive.) PS: In terms or pricing, all were within a few percent of one another, essentially meeting the best truecar (or consumer reports) negotiated price, with little haggling, which was under $500 over invoice on what I was shopping for, though all were steadfast on the Maco fee -- meaning that while they said they were under $500 over invoice they were REALLY a couple hundred over $500 over invoice. YMMV depending on what options you are buying, what time of the month you show up, what incentives are in place, yada yada. |

Stay away from peter pan bmw. They are extremely racist against asian people, thinking that you cant afford the car. Bmw of Fremont offer me a pretty good price and kept calling back, but we decided to buy the car at bmw sf because their car was never test driven.

If anyone is looking right now, I cannot recommend Sonnen more highly. Having purchased from Weatherford, Concord, Mountain View and Stevens Creek before, I can tell you the new Sales Manager at Sonnen is a CLASS ACT! His name is Brett Lynn. If you are seriously looking for a new car, PM me and I'll put you two in touch with an introduction.

I would highly recommend John Wolff from EastBay BMW. I special ordered a 135i and he patiently answered many many emails while I waited. He also kept me up to date. I picked up the car last week and was very happy!!!

Weatherford BMW in Berkley CAUTION!!!
Bought my 1st BMW a used CPO 135iCV and they sales manager is not a good guy at all. I bought a CPO car with issues and he is not willing to take care of them. Stay away from this dealership. The service department has been top notch but the sales manager has not acted honorably. I had to call BMW North America and file a complaint. Pretty Sad really. They will not get any more of my business.

I don't trust the guys at Concord ... tried to jack the price on us when we first got the X3 and then again when we decided to buy out the lease. Ended up going with Niello up in Sacramento both times (07/10) and saved significant $$$.
