I've installed. The piece is almost a work of art. Honestly it's beautifully manufactured. Kind of a shame to hide it inside the bowels of the car.
I don't think it offers a performance improvement as much as it offers a reduction in the loss of performance. As in when it's hot outside and you're running hard, your car won't heatsoke near as badly compared to the stock unit. Last edited by robertm; 10-08-2012 at 07:50 AM.. |

I still don't know what FMIC to get... I don't want to pay a lot, and will go with a flash+FMIC. so I don't need a big one! What do you think about the ETS or AA? What is better choise around $700? |

ETS seems to be absolute bolt on with zero trimming needed. It would be good enough reason for me to go for it. Plus, there has been only good reviews about it. For me, it is a no brainer.

If you're counting pennies and the ETS unit suites your needs then go for that. Regardless of the brand it will almost certainly provide better heat exchange over stock. Just be careful with some designs as they can actually reduce power at stock boost levels. With sofware that won't be an issue.

Tons of N54s are running all the aftermarket FMICs. I went with the ETS since I don't track my car and at the time I was planning to run meth. I probably would have went with a bigger unit if I tracked my car. For sure when you are running extra boost your car will heat up very fast.
