FS: Volk Racing gunmetal RE30 18"x8"
A set of four (4) forged Volk Racing RE30 gunmetal-painted 18 inch by 8 inch wheels with Pirelli Sottozero performance winter tires. Includes installed tire pressure monitors, hardware, and plain center caps. The 135i has big brake calipers on the front and these wheels cleared them no problem and never rubbed against the wheel wells. The wheels weigh 16.2 pounds each; much less than the stock ones. In my opinion, the Pirelli winter run-flats did not hurt performance very much compared to the stock Bridgestone run-flat summers. I was very pleased with this set up. I’ve put approximately 12k miles on the tires since I used them to commute into Midtown NYC from North Jersey (about 28 miles round trip) for four winters. There is still one or two seasons of tread on the tires. One of the wheels has a slightly bent rim (about an eighth-inch deflection) that does not affect the tire bead or ability to keep pressure. There is some curb rash and a few scratches from normal wear and tear, but they still look nice. I have a picture of the set posted on my personal main page and can email more detailed pics if you're interested. These things are taking up room in my garage that my wife needs to store more junk. |

I'm asking $500 or best offer. Here is a link to a picture: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/pictu...ictureid=43166.
Thank's for the heads up, Tee-Dub. I put a price on my post, but it appears not to have made it through. |

Agreed, Tee-Dub. This is a sweet deal. You don't realize how light these wheels are until you pick one up and then pick up one of the stock 1er wheels. Amazing what a little forging can do. Was tempted to store these babies until I could buy another 1-series as an autocross toy, but who am I kidding? I'm no Piero Taruffi, and these wheels should be on the open road somewhere making trouble.

can you post a pic of these wheels and a piece of paper with your username? wheels are a high dollar item to buy online from someone with 11 posts and registered last month.
every one of your 11 posts is in some way about these wheels, you have no pics of them on your car....and are selling wheels worth 2k+ and tires worth 400+ for 500 dollars...? |

Sorry I was incommunicato for a couple of days. Got the flu right before New Years and it laid me out. Bromandude makes a good point and I would be thinking the same way. Don't know why I never took pictures of the car with the wheels on, but I haven't taken any pictures of my 335is either. Guess I'm not a shutter bug. Cheap price reflects the market. I see lots of nice wheels and upgrades for sale here at bargain basement prices, so I didn't want to be unrealistic on price. So far interest has been good, but not overwhelming, so I think I actually got the price right. WhiteTgr135i and I are working out the shipping details. I'm happy to ship these and get paid after. Last thing I want to do is get a bad rep. Deploytosave and Tee-Dub, appreciate the interest, but WhiteTgr135i has dibs. I'll update more regularly from here on out.

yeah i guess its pointless to try to protect a fellow forum member from a guaranteed scam??
i'd bet my 135i on there being something fishy here. either he is going to take the money and run, they are bent beyond repair, curb rashed like crazy on all 4 with several hundreds in repairs needed, or they are replicas...there is not a single chance in hell they are being sold with normal wear and tear and 1 bend for less than 1 wheel retails for. |

Bromandude, I'll post that picture you want tonight.
WhiteTgr135i and I have agreed to terms and I'll be sending the wheels out tonight assuming I can get home from work before the UPS store is closed. As stated previously, I'm sending the wheels to WhiteTgr135i first and he is sending me the price plus shipping afterwards. Bromandude, I hope you didn't actually bet your 135. |

I do.... would be one of the funniest stories so far this year (just a week in, I know, but would probly hold up till the end, just like Clowney's hit on the Michigan RB!) Sorry, but I agree with Cooler at this point. If the guy is pending sale, might as well let it be. For the future, if someone does get scammed (which I rarely hear of on this site), have the admins put in a ruling stating there has to be a pic with Username and date on the item. That is something everyone HAD to do on the My350z forums, and if you didn't post it, your item was deleted immediately. But for now, it's unfair to make one person do that, unless we have everyone do that. Just my .02 <3

SOLD!!!
Sent the wheels and tires last night from the local UPS store and in my panic-like haste to get back home to watch what turned out to be a boring national championship game (Sorry, leprechaun fans) only took a last-minute picture at the UPS store, which probably wouldn't meet Bromandude's high standards anyway. What if I post a picture of the yetti who lives in my backyard holding up a copy of today's New York Times?
All kidding aside, Bromandude's absolutely right and that's why WhiteTgr135i will be paying me after the wheels arrive in SoCal, hopefully later this week. WhiteTgr135i will hopefully post some pics of his ride with the wheels. Thanks everybody for your interest, especially the many of you who wanted these for track days. Good to see guys still going out there and burning some rubber. Maybe I'll join you when my little ones fly the coop and I'm not spending my weekends as a chauffeur. I'll try to post my lame UPS store picture tonight. |
