Hi my name is Michele... :)
Hi All,
Figured I'd toss a little post together so you all could get to know me a bit. I recently bought my 2010 135i in December after a long search for it. Previously I owned a Mazdaspeed Protege for 7 years which launched my racing career. Within my career I've raced several kinds of cars and competed in many different racing events from: autocross, track days, redline time attack, rallycross, legends cars, porsche club racing, thunder roadsters, and many more. From 2008-2009 I was honored to drive for Crawford Performance in Redline Time Attack. 2011 I continued to drive for Crawford Performance and picked up my current sponsor, Scion Racing. I campaigned the tC in NASA time trials and finished 2nd place overall in TT-E for the year. In 2012 I was resigned with Scion Racing with a new team, Dynamic Autosports, aka Gruppe-S. We raced the turbocharged tC in a newer wheel to wheel NASA based series, MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championships. It was my first year with my competition race license and as a rookie I won the championship of the MotoIQ series, which is ran in southern California, by 1 point. You may recognize this car from the recent ad in most tuner magazines Oh, and I was also chosen to compete on Octane Academy in Vaughn Gittin's camp Anyway, hello to all of you. I am stoked to be apart of the BMW family. If you want to know more feel free to ask. I share a lot of my racing events and media on facebook (www.facebook.com/M1cheleAbbate) or instagram: M1cheleAbbate thanks for reading!

Well now no one should mistake weather you're a guy or girl anymore. I know someone did in 1 thread I read. Great pics and very interesting story.

How did you rank the 135i to your racing vehicles?

I haven't had it on the track yet. But I didn't need to test it on the track to know it's potential. It's obvious by even just driving it on the street. A performance machine with much more potential than you could ask for (n54) surrounded with more luxury than I could've imagined. I fell in love with the 135 the first time I drove one. Definitely one of the most impressive platforms I have been behind the wheel of. Definitely a worthy daily driver for me, with no hesitation of a guaranteed solid performance on the race track.

welcome to our fold. very impressive resume. the N54 motor is a beast but the factory suspension is something of a let down as you'll find out. plenty of good tid bits around to tighten everything up. best of luck with your '13 racing career

Welcome Michele...Indeed the 135i is quite the bargain( one of the best IMO) especially used..N54 yea, a really really nice engine.....
For street driving and on the back road twisties i have found a couple cheap mods...M3 FSB and putting on Yokohama ADO8's have made a big difference on my ride.....i have not been let down by the suspension,,,,just felt there was a tad to much lean around corners, which the FSB corrected ,and the tires have given the car the grip it needed....For street driving at normal to fast speeds i could not ask for more....But on the track that is another story...i would not no. |
