Sorry for the dumb question. But you guys are telling me that if in the future I want a quad set up, all I gotta do is change the bottom black part of my rear bumber or diffuser? I don't have to change the whole bumper like in my last E60 530i?

OP, the exhaust set up looks great. Your muffler shop really did a quality job.
You just have to modify your diffuser (bottom black part) and then get a 135i quad exhaust or have one made. There ill also may be some trimming and modifications required. |

^ looks a tad bit better then stock because of the dual outlets, but I'm not really feeling the fitment of the diffuser or the blueness of the tips. It just looks a tad too cheap for me... But that's just my opinion...

The diffuser fitment is fine, there are no gaps, so i don't see why you don't like the fitment. As the tips are titanium burnt tips, i wanted to go a different route since most Bimmers go for either stainless tips or black tips. I guess titanium exhaust systems with burnt tips look cheap on GT-R's, M3, & Porche's too .

Update: once the muffler filled up with some carbon, it sounded a little less 'tinny/raspy' at WOT and more muffled, and also i recently had downpipes installed and the sound is even better, not to mention turbo spool/whine is even more pronounced, though, there is now a noticeable drone in the 2000-2700 rev range while cruising because of my DPs- can't have it all it seems. I should be free soon and will put up a soundclip, though am not sure if the sound will be recorded even close to real life. |

Hey KB, did you ever get around to recording a sound clip? Super curious.

I love the way quad exhausts look. What I really want to do (I'm putting on my flame suit before I say this) is a canister exhaust... I what it to look like what you would see on a Supra or a R34. I've been searching all over the net to see if I can find an example but I've yet to find one. I think a sprinkle of "rice" would look good on this vehicle.

Hey really sorry for the late reply. I have been off here for a while due to holidays etc. And I was busy getting my camber etc sorted as it was all messed up - all good now. Will try and get a soundclip soon, as my brother is also free these days and I'll post it up here.

It looks as though the price has gone up significantly since last year.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-E82-1...ht_4774wt_1163 Same vendor but now the diffuser itself is US$299, gloss black paint is still US$30 and shipping is US$60. Total is about AUD$370, about $85 more.

They were chosen off the shelf at my exhaust shop - I dont believe they have a brand name on them. I do know the shop is a big stockist of Magnaflow, but I am unsure if Magnaflow even makes tips...?
