Boots are made for burning
Hi Crew,
Finally completed the shoe changeover and now wanted to share the view. Apologies for the crap photography, but I am time poor and inexperienced with cameras. I had plans on providing really clear hi def photos - but time is against me and we have NO TWD in Queensland, so that means the wife has to wash the car................. The ride is sensational compared to Run-craps and I need to thank Evan / Chris from Tyre power in Melb they did a great job and made the process very easy including freight to QLD which was nearly overnight - Thanks Guys it’s really appreciated. Overall the project was not cheap, but the results really speak for themselves. I had the guards rolled by a local guy, but I dont think this was really required. The rims look a little shiny in the photos, but In real life they look slightly darker - which is the exact look i was hoping to achieve. Dark Chrome (not to shiny and not black) The wheels really fill out the guards now and the rear view screams BTFO. With the recent JB4 improvment and new shoes, all i need now is to attend to the double bass (DP) and we can go hunting the odd Audi TTS. The rim and tyre spec is as follows, Wheels 2 x GT-CR Hyper Black 19x8.5 +45 5x120 CB72.6mm 2 x GT-CR Hyper Black 19x9.5 +50 5x120 CB72.6mm Tyres 2 X Michelin Pilot Super Sports 225/35R19 88Y 2 x Michelin Pilor Super Sports 255/30R19 91Y regards JD Last edited by 135BANDIT; 01-15-2013 at 01:34 AM.. Haven't done any data logging yet or flipped the noise to track 5, do you think with the relative stock setup MP5 will be worthwhile?? JD (yes its an alias......) |

Car looks great... nice choice! I have also recently changed away from Run-Flats to PSS (with the same style GT-CX - only 18's), and the car feels soooo mcuh better. Was unsure about changing initally due to all the conflicting info I read, but having taken the plunge, won't go back and would definitely recommend to anyone unsure and considering the change to go for it! Did my first 1200km round trip yesterday with them, and made the trip so much more comfortable and relaxing... compared to before where the car was noisy and crashing over every little pot-hole. Also had help from Vans at Tyrepower Melb, and couln't agree more with your praise for the help. |

Try map 5 and map 1 and go with whichever feels better. Send me through some logs of both and I'll check them out. |
