Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone had any experience with Sharp Performance (in South Melbourne), as far as servicing as an alternative to dealer servicing? Thanks. |

Southern BM excellent (efficient, informative and authoritative).
I have also heard more favourable reports about BMW Melbourne over Bib Stillwell and Doncaster, so am sorry to hear these issues. |

Did you go to the King's Way BMW in Melbourne? Or the Southbank one, just outside Crown?
Can't really help you if it's the King's Way one, but at the Southbank one, I dealt with a SA called Chris. Friendly and very helpful. Even topped up my empty tank for free one time. Speak with him if you went through Southbank. |

+1 for Chris Mayes. I bought my car through him only a few months ago and he was on my level in every way (as far as my needs for a 'drivers' car) and has a passion for the product. He is in sales though so I am not sure how much his influence delves into the servicing department, but he's worth a try. I believe he is currently on annual leave so you will have to catch him when he's back.
Have spoken with SoutherBM in the past regarding a Qualfe LSD install, I ended up getting information overload on how they build it and as such, demonstrated exceptional levels of understanding in their technical expertise. |

Active Motorwerke - Clayton
http://www.activemotorwerke.com.au/index.php Speak to Steve or Jin. Nothing but praise for these guys. Jin knows BMW's back to front. Not close to the City obviously... but just another choice. |

+1 another happy customer from Active Motorwerke, Jin is an ex-BMW Melbourne technician and knows his stuff really well!
They've recently moved from Clayton to Burwood if that helps - location-wise. |

I can recommend Northern BM (www.northernbm.com.au) in Fairfield for those in the east/northeast

I used to take my E21 for service at Northern BM, Phil Showers is an E30 lover...not sure about newer BMW like E90 F30 etc.

He is an E30 lover, but services my 135, and my family member's X1 and E90 330d just fine too. Sure if you are into "rice" upgrades, you won't be taken seriously, but then I wouldn't either
