There are no 18x8.5" wheel out there that will allow for a rub free fitment on the front of a 1 series no matter what the offset is if you're using an extreme summer tire. Some tires might just squeak by, but they are untested, and not what these wheels were meant for. Do not buy these wheels if you want to run 235 front tires without adding camber plates. Once you add camber plates you can add a lot of rubber to the front. A vital modification in my opinion to an under-tired car. |

I just mounted the 18x8.5 with 245/35 Yoko S.Drive's on the front and have not had any rubs (yet ... knock on wood). BTW that's on stock OEM setup. I am considering camber plates though.
Now the same setup on the back is a different story, rubs on a number of bumps and swells. Looks like its more camber in the back and fender rolling. |

They rub in the back because they are ET38. That is not a rear 1 series offset. The new ET45 provides 7mm more rear fender clearance and is perfect for square setups.
