What color to paint my calipers?
Bought some AP Racing calipers and was going to paint them VO to match my car...but am entertaining other color choices....got any good ideas that will rock a VO/black color scheme? I think Red is too Brembo-y and black will be hidden by the rims...other thoughts?
Post some photo combos if you have them handy...

How bold are you willing to go? I think a lot of combinations would look good but some might not fit the taste of most people.

Having bought a bright orange car, being mild-mannered and discretion isn't my biggest virtue...what color do you have in mind?

either leave them as they are - i like the matte grey finish - or go for VO - both will look great

Totally ! Bright yellow is the way to go. The best being Lotus's Solar Yellow, but Renault's Jaune Sirius is great, too. Don't like VO calipers on a VO car, a contrasting color would be the best. Blue or gold are other possibilities ...

Thanks guys for all the great suggestions...Really liked the thought of blue but nowadays every car BMW sells as a "M" wanna seems to have blue brakes...I also liked the yellow suggestion but thought it was a little too light for a brake dust magnet, so ended up going VO with black letters...photos coming soon...

Not 100% sure but don't think so because calipers are designed for a 36mm disk and as far as I know, OEM are much thinner.
I bought the complete BBK so the disks are much larger in diameter than OEM. I'll photograph the disks side by side for inquiring minds.

Done!!!
Took a long time due to many family and work situations getting in the way of fun but today finally installed them on my 1M...and VO was the color I chose. Now I might rethink having black rims because these calipers look great behind Anthracite wheels.
BTW, these AP Racing brakes are insane...stopping power x3 from OEM...glad I did this mod.
