Window trim silver -> gloss black (possibly full wrap too)
So I've had my 2008 BMW 128i for a couple years now (almost paid off ) and I have always hated the silver window trim. I got a couple quotes to have them painted (but they asked WAY to much for the job) so, being a college student on a budget, I finally pulled the trigger and decided to give vinyl wrap a try.
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=672757&page=2 Bogart's thread posted a while ago was my instruction manuel (also the 3m install/Q&A's on ikonwrap's website and youtube videos). I basically followed what he did and now I'm here to show you the results (not complete->ran out of daylight). Also I didn't order enough vinyl for both sides so this has turned into a slow process. The vinyl was surprisingly not to difficult to work with. I used a hair dryer to heat the vinyl because I do not own a heat gun. It worked fine. Also thinking about doing the whole car matte metallic blue (3m). Let me know what you all think! (I will post more pics later) |

Look forward to seeing the finished product. I have a few rolls of window trim wrap left (see signature)

@autobotvu Yes that's it. I might order it on ebay if it's a cheaper price, but I'm not sure yet. I'll put the order this evening though. Were you thinking of doing the same?

Oh man, full car wrap job. The possibilities!
The Matte Indigo could be really nice, and different without being flashy.
