1M front bumper, paint dry?
Getting 1M front bumper put on this morning. I have a great body guy but still wondering. He painted it last night at 4pm, let it air dry overnight, and putting on this morning, Then Im drive 150 on the freeway home. Im concerned about paint being too soft and bugs or rocks hitting it on freeway. then how to get bugs off when i get home. he said there should be zero issues and sends cars out same day or next day all the time. thoughts?

If it was my car, I would drive damn slow and leave a big gap between the car in front to avoid as many rock chips as possible then use warm water( no chemicals) to get the bugs off with a soft sponge or wash mitt. Perhaps a "wax safe" car wash soap heavily diluted might work as well.

Funny enough - same issue. I got a rock chip within a day of the new bumper. I'm so pissed I can't get Invisibra right away.

Despite letting it dry overnight, I would NOT apply any painter's tape to cover the front. It can easily pull the clear & paint when you remove the tape. Just drive slow and don't follow any trucks. I would wait 1-2 weeks before detailing, and 4-6 weeks before applying any clear bra (and that's assuming it's warm temps, not too humid). And I know I'm stating the obvious but if that's 1M replica bumper, you'll need to get a custom clear bra done as their preloaded templates are only for OEM bumpers.
