3 years, 3 punctures, 3 windscreens, 3rd set of tyres but 3 times the fun!
The 'polar bear' celebrated her 3rd birthday, problem free mechanically and 28,000 pleasurable and fun miles under her belt. 3 windscreens, 3 punchers and on her 3rd set of tyres.
Even passing the first MOT with flying colours. She has only ever performed as a 'weekend warrior'... Numerous PH Sunday Services Wales x 2 (Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley, Snowdonia National Park & the Evo triangle) Isle of Man Peak District Lake District Pennines x 2 Northumberland National Park 8 day Scotland tour (much of it resembling tarmac rally stages) Exmoor National Park 10 day Euro tour - 3117 miles: France Switzerland Italy Austria Germany Following alp passes: Col de Turini Col de la Bonette Col d’Izoard Col du Galibier Col de l’Iseran (highest in the Alps at 2770m) Col des Aravis Grimsel Pass Furka Pass St. Gotthard Pass San Bernardino Pass Fluela Pass Ofen Pass Umbrail Pass Stelvio Pass Gavia Pass Nockalmstrasse Grossglocker High Alpine Road Gerlos Alpenstrasse Nurburgring x 3 Spa Francorchamps x 1 She is definitely a keeper with many more 'ultimate drives' still to come. A recent Lake District & Pennines adventure. Mountain pass vid |

My windscreen has a crack but i dont want a non bmw screen fitted by the likes of autoglass etc, what did you go for? 3sets of tires in nearly 30k is good going, my rears last roughly 3-4k lol

Wow. Great photography!
my car is at 25K miles.. ready for 3rd pair of street shoes, and does have a cracked windscreen but I am like octane junkiee... it hasnt annoyed me enough to fix it vs removing the original. no tire punctures at all. Happy motoring! Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 12-05-2014 at 12:23 PM.. |

superb drives and images. I think you're proving that the UK has raw natural beauty that rivals the alps ...

Glad you enjoyed the pics. Not many realise how good we have it here in the UK when it comes to ultimate driving roads and great scenery
As for the windscreens, had to be done (have had not issues with either replacements), no small cracks either, both went from one corner to the next, the roads we frequent do you no favours in that department, also paint and wheels Last edited by Aussie_in_London; 12-10-2014 at 10:17 AM.. |

Hey Aussie, glad your keeping. By my maths you've only driven your on 16 occasions though.
Not done Europe but have a strong list myself. Highlights this year has been a midnight drive from Cheshire to London avoiding motorways via the Peak District.. Lowlights - a roof tile... to flank. Back to full health after a while getting fixed and 21k miles done. |
