130i with E92 M3 LSD Diff
Has anyone fitted a M3 LSD diff to their 130i? Is it possible to do?
I can get the diff, both side shafts and half the driveshaft from a wrecked E92 M3, for a lot less than the Quaife LSD

I've done it on my 135i. You need to swap the entire rear subframe in order to mount the LSD. The M3 half shafts are compatible with the stock wheel carriers, as are most of the control arms with the exception of the rear toe arm. The M3 one will be too log and the stock one will be too short. You need an aftermarket M adjustable one from either Dinan, Megan Racing or Rogue Engineering.
As for the prop shaft, you'll need to get the rear half of the prop shaft from either an E92 M3 or an E38/39 V8 540/740i and get it welded to the front half of your stock prop shaft.

Thanks Froop.
After doing research only the LSD from a DCT E92 will work on my car cos of the ratios being close to the 130i's ratios. The E92 manual is too far out. I've also been chatting about the mod on this forum: http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtop...2881&start=405
