OCC causes Performance drop?
Just a quick post, not much science behind this. I've recently installed an OCC in my build, and last night I drove quite a long ways away. While I was on a highway entrance ramp with the engine now fully warm to about 235F oil temp, I decided to do a WOT 3rd gear pull to get up to speed, but noticed that my max psi peaked at around 14psi. I went into programming and noted that the map was still set to 5, and had not reverted to 4, as will happen on occasion if something is wrong. I haven't had any issues reaching 16psi previously, the only thing that has changed is the OCC (the DCI and CP were installed the day earlier). I did a google search, as well as this forum, but can't really find anything stating this. Now it was just one pull and I may have not had my foot 100% to the toe down, but I'll be away from my car for a week and it's bothering me in the meantime before I can test it again.

You know, just the other day I was pondering this.
Most of us (at least the one who mod) are obsessive about reducing restrictions to the car's breathing system. We add intakes, better charge pipes, DPs, etc. it seems to me that an OCC is adding an additional restrictive element in the airflow system, and given the design (lots of small holes in a plate) it seems like it would create turbulent airflow in addition to a physical obstruction. Thoughts Anyone?

OCC will not affect performance at all.
JB4 Map 5 is the autotune map, boost can range from 12-17psi depending on conditions and will scale up or down on the fly.

You are probably right, but can you speak to the question of restricted/disrupted airflow and how it is possible that it doesn't have an affect?

So I am just wondering if slowing/disrupting/disturbing that air as it mixes with fresh, smooth-flowing (ideally) intake air could disrupt it at all and thereby affect performance. Probably not, since the introduction of that blow-by gas most likely doesn't really affect the airflow, but I thought it was worth asking those who know better than I.
