Yeah 17's are a minimum. I have the performance brakes and my 17" style 262 wheels barely clear. Around 3mm clearance between the caliper and wheel.

Hi everyone, I'm interested in upgrading my stock brake system (2005 120i) but have had no luck finding an aftermarket set of performance rotors and pads for the 1er. I was recently informed that the 135i shares the same "knuckles" as the 120i and that a complete swap could be done. Has anyone done this before (I'm sure someone has). If so would you be so kind as to send me to the correct thread with the information or to the 1er member who did the swap. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
