Maybe that's why they're practically giving away the 5D MkIII/24-105 combo. Saw it today for $2499. I think I paid about $500 more than that for just the 5D MkIII.

My 24-105 is my most used lens by a wide margin. I love the thing. If the new one is better, which I'm sure it will be, I'll give away my current one and grab a new one.

If it weren't for my 500mm, the 24-105mm would be my most used. I have it on the camera 99% of the rest of the time, but I'm carrying the 15mm and the 70-200mm always, just in case.

Lots of people diss this lens, but with Digital Lens Optimization, it's pretty darn good as is. Still, I'll pay big for a little extra IQ.

Dug this one out of the archived card dumps. I badly blew this shot. It was something like 3-1/2 stops under exposed and took a lot of work to rescue. It still has some serious noise issues, but I've tried to mitigate most of them. Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. My trusty 24-105 again.

Thanks! I haven't taken many B&W shots, but I liked this one enough to post it. I also considered painting out the contrails, but I actually kind of like them.

Me, too. The other half was just as cool. The whole castle was a giant man-cave.

I was enjoying a late night soak in the pool last night when I looked up and realized it had been a while for a moon shot. Used the 5d3 and Tamzooka as they were readily available.

Nice shot, Ed. There was a very clear moon for a few minutes during the Blue Hour here last night, but then the humidity moved in and it got just a tiny bit hazy. Just enough to steal the sharpness away.

Thanks, Mark and Ed.

Ed, I see that the bomber flew near. You got great light and details.

Given today's standards and even vs the B52, I'm always impressed by how small the B25 and B17 were. It took a lot of bombers to carry a lot of ordinance at the beginning of WWII.

Great shot and love the background.

Went to Longwood Gardens today. Lots of pretty flowers to see. We get down there once every 6 wks or so. It is amazing how much it changes from visit to visit. I highly recommend it for anyone passing through suburban Philadelphia
