Hey Steve, have you installed the redesigned Whiteline rear subframe bushings yet? Curious to hear how you feel they compare to the original design. I am debating between them and the street AKG right now. I have the Defiv lockdown kit and mFactory LSD currently.

Looks like you installed the left guide arm on the right?
Could just be the picture but the guide arm is meant to have the curve facing down if I'm correct? Quote:

I noticed the Strongflex ones do not come with the metal washer that goes between the car and the bush.

Do the Polyurethane bushings require additional maintenance over time? As in you would need to regrease them every couple of years otherwise they start making noise?

Thx for the advice! You are correct, you can get enough room without dropping the muffler or disconnecting brake lines if you have two jacks and pay attention. I am jealous of those who are getting the bushing to slide out with heat and the cars weight. Tried it. HAve one rear about 1" out. Won't go more. I am using a heat gun not propane torch...you mentioned "goo"...are you literally melting the bushing? Maybe that's my problem... I may just order the tool tomorrow ($300). Seems like HP Autosport has them "backordered" so I am not sure I can even rent a set. Ironically, I borrow a friends $500 assortment bushing tool set...nothing would work for our cars. Amazing.

Whew...job done. With the tool it is straightforward, but you do have to disconnect the brake lines so I'll need to bleed the rear brakes tomorrow. Job also caused me to notice another issue...looks like my differential has a minor seal leak. Ug.

First drive was good. No increase in NVH but nothing dramatically different in feel either. I'll know tomorrow on my drive to work as there is a set of RR tracks where I could really notice the side-to-side shimmy with the stock bushings...

HPDE was great! No issues with the rear. Felt very planted. Glad I did the upgrade.

Reviving this thread...
As I've been researching the topic of bushings (differential, rear subframe, and transmission), I must say this has been one of, if not the most, useful threads I've came across. A few years later, all the great info that has been posted will help out another enthusiast in 2019, will post my results in here when I tackle the rear suspension eventually
