Tail lights only partially work?? Help!

So my tail lights don't turn on when the switch is on at night. But brake lights, turn signal and reverse all work. Help! Ideas?

If LED tail light, tail light needs to be replaced. Have you tried swapping the tail lights? they come out in 5 minutes

Did you find a solution? My 07 E93 is doing the same thing. I pulled the lights off, fender and boot lid, plugged into passenger side, and they work fine. I'm not getting power to the lights. I checked fuses behind glove box, all were good.

Anyone?

make sure both plugs are in... theres two different plugs in the back

Yeah on the 135i the outer brake bulbs power the leds. So if they aren't sitting correctly in the holder the running lights won't power on
