Removing Nav and components.
so now im finding my nav and other junk is outdated. im thinking of scrapping it all and just installing a tablet. what can i remove? any one know? anyone do this?

Depends what you want, there's actually a few well-documented installs of this type so I'd recommend finding a setup you like first and then going from there.

where people had existing Nav? (pre lci) or where they had no nav and added it.

Both. You can buy the nav housing (newer style) and mount it to the dash pretty easily.

Yeah... you have the popup CCC nav like me. So outdated. UGH. I hate the popup screen soooooooo much! lol

CIC is worth the upgrade. Fairly easy and the prices are going down now that its older, but still offers much better functionality than my old CCC did

How does that work with the installation? I see you have a 2008 like me with the popup screen... is that deleted? Do you have a pic of your install? Thanks

I kind of understand what the install entails and what's needed... I retrofit NBT in my CIC F30 a couple years ago. I'm just wondering about the fact this popup screen is in the center off my dash... how is the new larger CIC screen incorporated in a retrofit from CCC to CIC? Do you need a new dash?
