Pure Stage 2 N55 Tune Option
I have FBO + Pure Stage 2 ready to install. I was so excited. But after searching about Tuning availability,
My car is 2013 DCT. As I searched, 1. JB4: No Backend Flash on 2013+. I read a thread about add a resistor fooling IAT to reduce timing. Not optimal. 2. MHD : 2013+ not come out yet. Don't know when and how good. Been waiting for long while. Not seeing it pays much attention for 2013+ crowd, sorry. 3. ESS : Saw one guy ran & posted about stage 1. Not sure if he was happy. http://esstuning.com/n55-e-stage-1-e...ance-software/ No user comment on stage 2. Look good as it states 500hp. http://esstuning.com/n55-stage-2-performance-package/ 4. Eurocharged : Its web has info on stage 1. I read a guy had 500+ whp tune on his Pure stage 2 mod. Not sure if it was custom tune or Off the Shelf stage 2? My car is DD. I am looking for simple/reliable 450-480 whp with no headache. No port injection. Could anyone lead me to right direction please ? ESS + JB4 is probably your best bet currently

Have you been in contact with mhd? Not sure what the status is of mhd w/ the newer dme at this point but I know they have been working on it
I have a Dct car, and before I went with the PS2 I swapped from JB4 w/mhd back end flash to MHD stage 2+. Drivability is night and day difference, it didn't feel as fast with the off the shelf map but part throttle is like stock.... now that I'm PS2 I'm still in the tuning process but the car still feels great drivability wise which is something I never had with JB4. If you can wait until MHD is available for your car I think it's the best option! |

People run PS2 with JB4 only all of the time, and JB4 isnt even really a 'tune'

I hear you. People run PS2 with JB4 only all the time. This one you have to pay lot more, it has to be better.
But my question is " Does it worth $900-$1200 out of pocket and have to mail in DME or drive to tuning dealers?" Low end thrtt response, smooth mid-range, high end top power ect.? Anyone could share stage 2 tuning experience with ESS 2 or Eurocharged 2 ? Last edited by aroonkl; 01-19-2017 at 11:17 AM.. |

JB4 costs more than MHD, but MHD is better in several aspects bTw contact http://www.1addicts.com/forums/member.php?u=327748 He is leading the cahrge on MHD development for N55 and can unlock 12+ DMEs, well he just announced it like a day ago. So it is a new thing Give it a shot

Everyone knows I'm not a fan of stacking... I have my reasons and my opinion...
Stacking is nothing more than a half baked OTS map with a old school boost controller that has a few bells and whistles which try to dazzle you into overlooking the fact that it doesn't even do a good job at what it was designed to do... You might as well just put an OTS map on your car for a fraction of the cost and call it a day. For upgraded turbo owners custom tuning is even more important. Stacking won't be as smooth as a proper flash tune. There are a few minor things that could be adjusted which I did already, but 26.6 psi tapering to 24.6 psi is amazing... You'll see more from this car soon as he just ran at WannaGoFast half mile event. Car did a 152 pass which respectable for a Pure Stage 2 N55 running E85, Port Injection with an MHD Flash tune. And some people said it couldn't be done... |

Nice log. Can you share the link so we can drool some more?
Looks like it's a MT car, is that right? If you can get the dct car to run this good it will go much faster too! |
