What's wrong with an OTS map? Would I see power losses that big if so??
Not installing the turbos is quite the accusation. I might think the same tho, I guess. I did show up to the shop during the last bit of the installation so I definitely saw the turbos installed, and the old ones on the ground. Also, they were smoking before, but no smoke after! But I agree with you that something isn't right. I'm still digging for an answer.
The OTS map is built for the stock turbo. No wonder you're getting low numbers, you need a custom tune...

He estimated $2K. But that includes oil change and few other minor things that may need attention.

Do it right and upgrade your turbos... I wouldn’t rebuild wastegates on turbos that have high mileage, then wait for more potential issues down the line. They also have wastegate rebuild kids for a lot cheaper than 2k. You can also go with a stage 1 upgrade for roughly 2-3k (depending on brand) which will give you upgraded watseges and stronger turbo internals. Aka better and more reliable .

I dunno. I trust my indy shop and been using him for a while now. I don't see the point in replacing something that doesn't need replacement.
What do you think about a Cat back system.

Pfff, Stage 1 is for novices. PA135ii - you should go straight to Stage 2.

What's the matter with you mang, I mean, you drive a 135i so you can afford it can't you?

If not, you could always.....start a GoFundMe.....

I gave you serious advice. If your modded, pushing boost, on higher mileage turbos.. Why would you spend 80% of the cost to JUST fix the rattle and not go stage 1? You’ll have atonger turbos, that will potentially last longer, and never have wastegate rattle again. Stage 2 is deff the way to go, but no need in recommending something that you clearly won’t spend the money on.

You can’t afford to upgrade turbos and are talking about my wallet ? Hahahahahahaha. Enjoy the wastegate rattle ❤️
