Tune2 Air Muffled Sound
Hi
I own a E88 N55 MY 2011 and purchased the Tune2 Air WMA3000 - Wireless Bluetooth Music Interface Adaptor for In-Car iPod Kits. https://www.viseeointernational.com/tune2air Its connects fine to my IPhone X. Problem is that the sound only works on the drivers side speaker when I stream music. You lose all the surround sound features available with other media. Tried rebooting phone and reconnecting but no luck. Is this because my car year model does not support bluetooth streaming music ? Anyway any help would be good Other info I have the IDrive with the professional Sat Nav. I have the USB and the Aux cord both connected on the tune2 air |

I have tune2air on an 09 e88 w IDrive and it works perfect. Go in your phone under settings and make sure under accessibility, the speakers are balanced.

If I have the slider (under accessibility for the iPhone IOS) for left and right all the way to the left then there is no (hardly any) sound coming from the cars left hand speakers. At balanced settings there is only sound from the right speakers in the car Checked the IDrive tone setting and they are balanced, connected to internal media on the Idrive and the sound is balanced. Connected the phone to the old USB/Aux cable with the lightning connector and the sound is balanced. So this (I think) proves its not the settings on my car or the Phone This leads me to believe I have a dodgy Aux in cable on the Tune2 Air. May have to return it for another one. Update
Got it to work by fiddling with the aux cable connection on the tune2 air to the car female socket. Will try and clean out the socket in the morning to see if I can get a more secure connection . Get disconnects when I hit a bump |

I was going to suggest it could've the aux cable plug. Try rotating to a bit.

On careful inspection I noticed the tune2 air aux plug has a different shape to the OEM hard wired cable, I’m going to try and modify the Tune2 air aux plug slightly with a glued on plastic washer so there is more surface area for the physical connection to the car. Hopefully that will help reduce connectivity problems. |
