What's up...
So i got some work done at BMW of Annapolis yesterday... Blower motor recall and brake flush... Long story short, they damaged my drivers side door trim(pictures attached) I was told that the heat from the sun was the cause of the trim separation... My response was..."the car was here for a day and the sun did this!?" I've had my car out in the sun plenty of times this summer and no trim separation... Pictures were taken and i was told a manager would contact me... What's even worse is that I received a text to leave a review for the service and when I clicked on the link to leave a review, somebody from BMW left a positive review saying that everything was great and gave the service 5 stars(I was able to update the review and did so accordingly) What do you guys think I should do? Should I wait for them to contact me or should I contact them tomorrow? It looks fixable, how would you guys fix it? Any suggestions help, thanks! |

Told me to bring my vehicle in tomorrow so they can look at it to try and fix it... They are trying to cover their ass, which is fine if they can fix it... He told me that he wants to try and fix it rather than ordering a new door panel... We will see what happens, I was asked to wait for about an hour while they diagnose and come up with a fix! |

The top is obvious, the bottom is also like the top but the angle of the picture makes it hard to see... Their are only a couple of sections keeping that trim piece section on... Very upset... |

The manager said the same... He said it likely happened when they were washing/cleaning the car... Either way, I know the sun couldn't have done it in a day nor was it like that when I dropped it off... I thought initially that maybe when someone was getting in and out of the car that they could have pushed up against the door and caused it(i immediately thought of a tech doing this by accident), when he suggested the cleaning people, I thought maybe it could have happened there as well |
