My jack kit from BMW-Direct came with a breaker bar and all the other goodies including the torque bar. I'm carrying a full size 18" spare until my alloy space saver arrives.

My tyre suppliers showed me some of the handiwork of those who had used plugs and in the process destroyed their non-RFT tyres. In effect, the holes are too big to enable a patch/plug to be used. Not for me. I decided to keep the weight down and use a BMW Mobility Kit. The sealant is latex-based and washes out, so a holed tyre is not written off by goo.

I also believe in order to "put" the glue/sealant in the tire... you have to remove the valve stem "guts" with a tool. The service tech also said even with the sealant inside... the wheel WILL vibrate like crazy. So I installed my mini donut. No vibrations, but major handling issues and the rear end was always "wagging" going down the road. Not fun. That is why I bought a full size spare. Never again. I don't care how much trunk space I lost. I feel safer with that full size spare back there! Dack

Picked up am OEM jack and spare wheel in anticipation of my move to non-runflat tyres. The wheel is 17x7.5 and is brand spanking new shod with a new 225/45ZR17 Continental tyre. I scored them both from an E46 318i sedan at a wrecking yard for $120. Now if only I could find a retailer that has Michelin PSS's in stock!
