How to adjust max-height of Window?
2009 135 coupe here. Had to replace the driver side window regulator...all of that went fine. Now that it's all back together the window - at its max height - still needs to go up another 1/4 - 1/2 inch.
The coupes keep the window down a bit when you open the door then close fully once you shut the door. In my case, once the door is shut, the window goes up just enough to touch the weatherstrip - not enough to seat tightly at the top. Any way to manually raise it more?

Needs to be reset. Close door. Press and hold the window down button till it gets to the bottom, and continue to hold for 3 seconds. Then press the window up button to the top, continue to hold for three seconds. Done.

There is some "play/adjustment" in the two bolts that hold the window to the regulator. You need to pull the door panel back off and adjust the position of the window on those two bolts until it sits where you want it.
Once you have it where it should be, make sure that you get those two bolts tight or the window will slide down and you will be right back to where you are now. EDIT: FOrgot to mention that to adjust how tightly the window sits agains gthe seal is adjusted at the bottom of the back slide for the regulator. |
