Going through the install at the moment.
Everything is working, except I'm getting zero sound. I connected the two blue wires, double-checked my connections, and the main harness. Tried both antennas but no sound, not even static. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance I do not have HK, just the standard system

Update apparently my car has the "Premium Hi fi: $875" on the sales sticker.. but therers no HK logos anywhere on the tweeters?
Anyways I assume it has some sort of upgraded amp that's the issue, so I ordered the Xtrons bypass module for " logic 7 or HK". Comes in on Wed, so hoping this does the trick https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

BTW which XTRONS unit did you buy? I was told by them that the 2010 E82 with the measurements in the photo would not fit the PBX7081B unit on their site. https://xtrons.com/bmw-e81-e82-e88-a...b-rom-pbx7081b Edit: Saw that's what you already linked. |

Alright, so I bought the Decoder box!! It worked! There are no instructions so, you have to splice the yellow power > red/green, black Ground > brown, red ACC > Blue ant from the xtron side. Also, move your fiber optic cable from OE harness to the slot in the decoder box I followed this guy's instructions But yeah, I had "premium hi fi" so I needed this! I just ordered the one in my last post Last edited by mwikina977; 11-07-2020 at 12:28 PM.. |

But I guess I meant which model did you get. Xtrons have a few different ones on their website. I assume the PBX7081B headunit and the FOBB02 Decoder box? Last edited by G3min1; 11-10-2020 at 09:08 AM.. |

Yes - you can retrofit usb and aux port

I bought something like this from amazon and connected it to the original usb and aux port on the center console. Then i did cut the other end and put standard 3.5 mm and usb male connector. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0843C323S..._B4KRFb5849K80 In fact i did even retrofit the oem mic with a pioneer unit (see my other post) but the oem mic does not work with either xtrons, avinsusa and the current sony unit i have - only pioneer headunit accepted the oem mic.

So far so good! haven't had a chance to play around with the android functions and customize the UI yet. It's getting cold up here in Boston, so I'm in the car less and less lol
I still have to route my GPS antenna up to the window but I was able to tuck the Wifi antenna hidden away next to the glovebox But it looks good, feels good and the basic functions work! Worth it so far. Just wish the instructions were crystal clear, would have saved me 1 week of headaches lol

random question. Did you keep your white and red wires swapped from your 4th picture up above? (Front Out R, Front Out L) |
