Thanks for the DIY! I just rebuilt my BMWP calipers with the Racing Brake kit and still had a mushy pedal after using a pressure bleeder. The INPA method worked like a charm.
Just one thing extra that might be worth mentioning since I didn't see it noted: the full sequence took about 1.25L of brake fluid, so make sure to have at least two bottles on hand before starting. |

I just re-read this thread. That is a beautiful car, bud.
Here's a crazy thought. One of my favourite cars ever is the '32 Ford (Deuce Coupe). Don't you think there are some similarities with our car? Or am I just stir crazy from Virus Lockdown? Cheers. J. |

Just FYI. If removing the calipers and letting it sit, if you press down on the brake pedal using a piece of wood wedged between the pedal and the seat base, the fluid will not drain out of the system so you won't introduce air into the master and ABS module.
If you look up the factory instructions, it says to use a brake pedal depressor, but a proper length 2x4 works just as well. |
