E82 LED Rear Lights
I have just installed LED rear lights on my E82, my car has the Xenons from factory and it has the standard LEDs on the back with the 3 Lines I have just switched to the LCI LEDs which are much more attractive the only problem I’m having is they are always on it’s like they are a daytime running light I only want them to come on when the lights come on, not constant has anyone else had this problem?

Depending on your region, the tail light led bars are either programmed to be on or off with your DRL's.
But this can be simply fixed using a simple programmer like Carly BMW. Mine was programmed "off" with DRL's from the factory, so I used my Carly BMW app to turn it back on with my DRL's in the app's settings -> "Daytime running lights – tail lights" • active or deactive In my opinion, they look so much better with the led bars lit up even in the day time. |

Slightly OT, but if the front lights are on, the rears should be too. I know we all don't do this, but it makes me crazy how many people when it's dark don't notice that only their front lights (DRL) are on. Full instrument lights too (I've checked driving by), so clearly they just don't think about DRLs <> full nighttime lighting. Completely baffled how that's even allowed.
