Rear license plate bracket.
So, my journey with my e82 just keeps getting more and more interesting all the time. Let me ask you this my friends... who in their right mind engineers a license plate bracket such that when the receivers corrode the plate becomes impossible to remove. Well, impossible to remove without the workload going up 100X.
Gimme a break BMW. |

I had to cut mine off.
Just got a replacement from amazon that had Brass inserts. I got new plastic inserts locally. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Oh yeah, that was lots of fun. Drilling worked but it wasn't easy.
IMPORTANT: Put something behind the plastic frame so when the bolt spins it doesn't F-up your paint. You'll also have to occasionally have to wedge something under the head of the bolt to keep it from spinning. You will curse. You will swear. You will want to kick a BMW engineer in the sack. Best of Luck. |
