VMR V703 wheel fitment?
I'm looking to purchase a set of V703 wheels for my 135i I currently have no drop so I'm stock height M sport suspension and my tire sizes are 225/40/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in the rear. The specs of the wheels I'll be buying are
18x8.5 +40 in the front 18x9.5 +45 in the rear Will I rub in the rear being stock height and with a 35 profile tire? Should i instead get a 18x8.5 +35 in the front and will I have any problems? These are what the wheels look like btw. |

For the front, we normally recommend ET40-45 with a 225/40/18 tire. Hope this helps! Apologies again for the delayed reply!

Anyone have an update on whether the 18x8.5 ET35 will be too tight in the front? Would be running a 225/35/18 tire with it. Also have a line on someone to roll the fenders properly. Just curious if additional rubbing occurs due to fender lining, etc? Many thanks!

I replied in your other thread. You should have no issues with that setup. I had 225/40 and 245/35 and never had any rubbing at all. Then I went to 255/35 in rear and only rub on big dips in the road with the rear. Im going to pull the rears and roll the fronts and put 235/275 summer tires in the spring. For the winter I'm on Conti dws06

There are tons of 10 yr old threads about these size wheels. For sure the et40 front wheel is a better choice and is about the best size you can get. Tire brand, camber, lowering, and even strut brand can somewhat effect what will fit your car.

Really appreciate the input here. Pretty much dialed on a set up at this point. Going to run out the current tires on the car with a track day in December then make the switch! 👍🏼
