FS 09 128 Vert- Houston Area

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
I purchased this car for my daughter from a dealer in Alvin TX, while still under warranty (@30k miles) in Feb of 2012. It has been and continues to be a GREAT car (I’m 08 135 owner). I have, for the most part, overseen the vehicles care. ABR in Spring TX (highly acclaimed) has performed maintenance and repairs. Car is solid and in very good condition. No cracks in windshield. Typical road rash on front bumper/hood. No tears in interior. No error lights. New properly coded battery Jan. 2019. New infotainment screen just installed. Near new Pirelli tires (<10k miles). Always filed with Motul oil etc…

Price is $7,250 (wasn’t showing)
The Basics:
2009 128 Vert, Alpine White over Corral
WBAUL735X9VJ75006
Steptronic w/Paddles
Xenon Headlights
Navigation
Keyless Entry
IPod/USB
Heated Leather Sport Seats
Heated Steering Wheel
Bluetooth
Only “mods” are: smoke side markers, Powder Coated Z3 17” wheels, Aluminum sport pedals & Shortie Antenna
BMW Windshield Shade Included with Sale
Fresh oil/filter change 2/08/22

The bad/disclosure:
The Z3 wheels provide a more aggressive, fender flush offset but there is some minor rubbing of the fronts once in a very blue moon.
My daughter had a fender bender ($1900) during first year of ownership (2013) wherein she hit a Jeep with the right front corner. Had fender and headlight replaced and took the opportunity to upgrade with the “sport” bumper cover and driving lights as part of the repairs.
Power Steering reservoir/fluid needs to be changed.
The little volume knob on the radio doesn’t seem to work but the up/down arrows on the steering wheel adjust volume just fine.

HISTORY:
Unfortunately, I lost some of the service history when my computer crashed, but from what I do have and in general:
* Oil always changed in the 5-7k mile range w/ Motul Synthethic
* Brake Fluid flushed and changed every two years
* 6/16 @ 55.5k---- RR AC Evaporator, and Belt Tensioner
* 10/18 @ 73.8k -- RR Right ABS Wheel Sensor
* 11/18 @ 74.5k--- RR Drivers Door Lock Actuator
* 01/19 @ 76.1k--- RR Valve Cover Gasket, Plugs, Drive Shaft Flex Disc, Battery, Cabin & Air Filter
* 09/20 @ 94k----- Four Pirelli Tires 205/50/17
* 01/22 @ 103k---- Infotainment Screen Replaced
* The convertible top was replaced under warranty in 2013. I still looks and performs like new.
* The Z3 Wheels were on the car when purchased, had them powder coated in 2015 or so..
* Brake pads and Rotors have been replaced twice since purchase, though I can't recall timing/when.

Reason For Selling: Daughter is now married and purchased a new 4dr. Bronco Badlands (family vehicle)

I’ve attempted to fairly price, commensurate with vehicle condition and squarely in between current market wholesale/retail.

Though a long-time member, I’ve never posted pics to this forum, nor do I utilize a photo hosting provider. Hopefully the iCloud link to pics, works. If not and/or if you have any questions regarding this sale, please email me at 4camv8@sbcglobal.net. I will soon be posting my 135 for sale as well. Thx!

For the mileage, you should have no trouble selling at this price. I recently sold a similar E88 for considerably more. More detail on the service records might help. I sold it through AutoTrader, had no hits on this forum or the BMWCCA, for that matter. E88 automatics seem to sell better on general public sites.

I figured I'd start here knowing this forum is not nearly as active as when the 1-er was in its hey-day. I did so because I'd MUCH rather sell it to an enthusiast that truly appreciates the platform. That also being part of the rationale for the very reasonable asking price.

I appreciate your suggestion and insight, especially since I will have another soon to sell. I'll see how it does here for a week or so and if my experience follows yours, I'll likely try Auto-Trader, though I will likely list for good bit more there..

Bump before going to AutoTrader and updated to reflect Motul oil change/service performed earlier today (2/08).
