Removing spots on instrument cluster
I purchased a 2011 128I and it appears that somebody sprayed some type of cleaning or preservative, such as Armor All, on the instrument cluster. I've tried cleaning it with various things, like vinegar solution, and I cannot get it to come off. It's quite visible when the sun hits it. Any suggestions?

Any chance it's inside, not outside?
I'm guessing you'll have to remove the whole thing, and then look at fixes similar to what you use on cloudy headlights. Would be far easier outside of the car. Or... perhaps take the clear plastic face off and clean inside if that's actually the issue. |

The lens is glued to the plastic lens surround. Trying to remove it easily cracks the clear plastic. The first time I separated the lens from the surround it popped off relatively easily. It took me three clusters to get a useable lens the second time around.
