7" spring would move the perches further up, but depends on wheel and tire combo, you may still need a 3mm or thicker spacers.

What minimum spring rate do you recommend to run a 6" w/o binding?

At 6", you will need at least 450 lb/in or so to keep it from bind. 400 lb/in is too close to call and I know 336 lb/in Swift will bind. |

New Ohlins R&T BMS MI01
The new front spring rate of 70 N/mm is also 1" shorter for more wheel/tire clearance. Improved valving to handle the spring rates. > DFV (Dual Flow Valve) > Rebuildable > Corrosion salt spray tested (ISO 9227) > 2 year limited warranty > Springs ordered separately FRONT FEATURES > McPherson strut > Single bleed adjuster > Height adjustable (approx. 10 mm lower than standard) > Coil springs (70 N/mm) > Use with original top mounts REAR FEATURES > Conventional shock absorber > Single bleed adjuster > Height adjustable (approx. 15 mm lower than standard) > Coil springs (120 N/mm) > Use with original top mounts SPRING RATE FRONT 70 N/mm REAR 120 N/mm |

What spring rate are you running in the rear? I am currently running a 7in 450 front and an 7in 850 rear on my ohlins. Do you think thats stiff enough in the front to go to a 6in? is 7in ok in the rear? I am starting to get worried about coil bind but i haven't noticed it on track yet.

ya im currently running a 245 Yoko a052 and have a 12mm spacer and 7" spring. It is still pretty close and would like the inboard clearance as well as fender clearance if i could run a smaller spacer
