front bumper gap
Hello fellow 1ers
I noticed my 135i developed quite a big gap between bumper and headlight on front right side. I hit a cardboard box few weeks ago on a high way so maybe that's the reason. Does anyone have idea how to fix this? Looks like some kind of bracket or support got damaged inside but not sure. So wonder if I can replace bracket rather than replacing whole bumper. Thanks! |

yeah you can loosen the screws at the bracket on top of the headlight and pull it forward a little bit, not much though.
Mine looks pretty much the same so i wouldn't worry about it too much. You never realise it until you actually look at it haha |

I've been working on this recently..
Here are some movements you can make. Behind the wheel well there is a trap door, opening the trap door will present a bolt that secures the light. Check it. As people have said, on the top of the light there is alot of wiggle room. Undo the screw and get it into position and close it up. This could also be because of the bumper itself, so check the bumper screw basically right behind where you are looking. Check its secure and in. If you look at removing the light, there are lots of ways to wiggle it. I would start with what has been said about the top screws. They are your best bet. |

Having the same issue and driving me nuts. The edge of the bumper that pops out isn't fully seating in the headlight bracket. I bought a brand new headlight bracket also. Hate the gap
Here are pictures. Any help is appreciated Last edited by bmwboyee; 03-06-2023 at 09:58 AM.. |
