Anyone try the ebay Forsvara differential removal tool?
I just used it. It didn't work as expected so I'm looking for advice before I use their other tool on my subframe bushings.
It essentially just ripped the metal center from the rubber. So now I'm left with a bunch of rubber to dig out. Likely user error... So, anyone? If you've used and have any advice please chime in. I still have 2 more diff bushings to get out and I'm reluctant to use the tool again. I sent an email to the folks at Forsvara but I'm waiting for them to get back to me. peace. |

This tool?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/33479021406...UAAOSwJiZjcoQk Is what they show in the picture everything that was included? From the pics it looks like it's missing the plate that evenly applies force to the side getting pushed towards the cup.

Now I've got to sit there and pick this rubber crap out. I wish it wasn't too late to return this POS. I need to find a socket or something to make it work on the front two diff bushings. I should've just went to harbor freight... |

Maybe you could find a few decent sized fender washers from Lowes/HD or Tractor supply and use them as a pusher plate. I'd probably get two to double them up but it should work.
Use the new bushings as a size guide if you go looking for washers. If you find something close, depending on how much of the rubber is left in that first one, you might be able to use the washer to push the remainder out.

After a few bucks worth of washers from Tractor Supply I was able to get the rear differential bushing out using this tool.
This tool is absolutely useless for the front facing differential bushings. The rod is too thick for the metal inserts in the OEM rubber. I have no good things to say about this product. I've asked for a refund from the seller on ebay. |
