WTB: 128 manual coupe PNW
Hi there, I'm beginning my quest to find a nice 128i manual coupe. Will wait for the right one, but I'd love to see what you have. Located near Portland, OR. Thanks! -Kendall Last edited by Larryscastle; 06-11-2023 at 10:56 AM.. Reason: Location |

Not mine but I like to search for 128i manuals from time to time. Already got one myself. But I found this one you might be interested in:
https://www.bmwnorthwest.com/used-in...BMW&model=128i PNW too! Maybe a bit more than what you are looking for but mileage is low and it's a slick top. Unicorn.. I would have been all over this one, good luck. |

The more and more I look at this, that price might actual be a bit of a steal.
I don't see any carfax though so I would definitely try to get that to see # of owners, any accidents, history of continual service etc.. But a few factors I'm noticing: - slick top (like i mentioned) - I've seen a slick top on bring a trailer with well over 150k miles go for a similar price - sports seats (maybe sports package but not an m sport) - manual adjustable seats - single hump (no nav) This is like an m sports package away from basically being the ultimate unicorn. I'm jealous, but I am happy with my low mileage alpine weiss find. Which I got for a very similar price but it's not a slick top. This one is worth checking out. If a PPI came back solid, I would grab this as fast as I could. Anyway, good luck. Last edited by kashikoi; 06-30-2023 at 08:38 PM.. Reason: Additional info |

M Sport Suspension, though. And Shadowline trim. But over $16K... Yikes. I know it's 2 years ago, but I paid $11.5 for my loaded (everything, for better or worse) 2013 N51 with the same mileage, BMW PE, and TC Kline coilovers. N51 in WA—don't know about OR—has the 15 year warranty on emissions related components.

Yeah I was hoping under $15k but I know values have gone up for good examples. I reached out to the dealer. If I can get them to offer a decent price for a trade in I’ll pull the trigger. Going to check it out on Thursday. Thanks you guys!

The whole silliness about "slick-top" and "double-hump" aside, this car doesn't even have leather or heated seats. Back from the days when dealerships assumed anyone wanting a stick-shift 128i was a cheap-f*ck. The only part of a "leather" interior to fail, post-2010, is the Leatherette on the seat side-panels. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking these make a better track car when we know we will end up daily-driving them with a silly smile across our faces!
Go with the items that enhance your driving experience and to make up for the excess weight (anyone ever weigh a car with a sunroof?) just empty your pockets or go on a diet. Last edited by BMWCCA1; 07-02-2023 at 08:17 AM.. |

Nelson racing make a solid option to delete the sunroof, which makes it a non-issue for me. I will say, after deleting the sunroof in my track Integra(around 40 lbs), I didn't set any PB's next time at the track with nothing else changing. If I'm honest; I wouldn't have known it was gone. But I'll still be deleting it in my new 128. I'd search nationwide if you're not already doing it, found one quite a bit cheaper then what people ask here for them. Still deals to be had out there, despite used cars in general still being high(and manual 128s somewhat rare). |

Selling my 2011 128i 6MT with 73k miles, crimson red over tan, single hump, slicktop, mostly base but with Xenons and Harmon Kardon audio. Extensive maintenance list, only mod is a hitch for the bike rack, owned for 7 years, thorough write up and pictures to come hopefully later this week! SF Bay area.
