Fitment question 18x8F ET35, 18x9 ET40?
I searched through the "Official" mega thread, couldn't find anyone running this fitment.
I'm on Bilstein B8s with Cobb springs. I'm currently running style 269s with E82 fitment. My style 269 specs are: Front: 18"x7.5" +49mm with a 12mm spacer, so effective ET of 37mm. 225/40 Rear: 18"x8.5" +52mm with a 10mm spacer, so effective ET of 42mm. 255/35 I currently only rub over high speed bumps in the passenger rear corner only. Nothing else rubs. My question is, if I move to the below wheel specs with the same tires, will I need a fender roll? Front: 18"x8" +35mm, no spacer. 225/40 Rear: 18"x9" +40mm, no spacer 255/35 Thanks. |

Update.
Got the new wheels installed. My tires were low mileage so I stuck with the same tires. Turns out I was wrong about the wheel spacers. They were 15mm at all 4 corners. So my original set up was essentially as follows: Front: 18"x7.5" +49mm with a 15mm spacer, so effective ET of 34mm. 225/40 Rear: 18"x8.5" +52mm with a 15mm spacer, so effective ET of 37mm. 255/35 I had the fenders rolled just to be safe on the new set up. I do not get any rubbing. |

Congrats, and it looks great. I think you will be prone to rear rubbing if you run a tire that runs wide (like Michelin PS4S, etc). I'd order 245 rear tires on your next set if you change brands.

Nice. So you are very close. Next set of tires be careful if you decide to change brands. Also realize that you can probably factory add more rear camber if you need it.

The width of 128i hubs is the same as the 135i.

They rub only slightly in the front right over occasional bumps because the suspension is so low in the front. Depending on your front ride height, it may not rub. |
