Need instructions for replacing a fog light on my 2011 128 convertible
I've done several internet searches and I've found a few supposedly for my car but they were not. My car has the rectangular fog lights, not circular, and it appears the only access is to remove the entire wheel well liner somehow. I'm talking about replacing the entire fog light assembly that was totally destroyed and pushed back into the facia by a rock, not just the bulb. Some videos show trap doors etc in the liner to get to the fog lights but mine is smooth. Some guidance on which screws need to be removed would be helpful. TIA.

Honestly just take off bumper, there are many guides on here you can look up.
Otherwise you will have to jack up the car to reach the fog light housing screws. Took my bumper off in 20 minutes following a guide. |

I replaced mine a couple of years ago. I was able to access through the wheel well liner. I don't remember whether I removed the liner entirely or just the front part and pulled it back to gain access. I do remember it was a tight fit and at least one of the screws/bolts was a challenge to get to, but it was possible. Having since removed the front bumper to install new headlight housings, I would probably go that route.
These are the ones on my car - it sounds as though you have the same. This is a comparison between the originals on the car when I got it and the new replacements (and this was after I had polished the old ones - they were totally gone):
