CIC never came with bluetooth funcionality. You need an extra device like combox, mulf or tcu.

Hi,
i realise its been about a year since you've done this but i'm currently undertaking this now. Can i ask, would you be able to tell me what part number your new center console was or what car it was made for? Was it the console out of a 135? |

51169169507, it's for all 1-series with iDrive.
Since you're from Australia, you have to find one for RHD cars, but a quick look on realoem should sort that out. |

They were uploaded > 4 years ago, probably just gone. There's a chance you could PM the original poster and convince them to upload the shots again.

I'm afraid the pictures are gone due to Photobuckets new rules two months ago.
I still have everything though, so If there's something spesific you want, just ask. |

Well, you did this long ago, but perhaps you can shed some light on the cutting of the lower dashboard supports to mount the headunit.
Do the top two screws of the cic correspond to the ones the basic radio is secured with? Do you have more specific pics on what you had to cut out? I'm retrofitting the business CIC so only the upper half of your headunit has to go in. Thanks in advance

I have this picture only I'm afraid. I think I used the same mountings as the original player, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi, thank you for this write up. I have searched around a number of forums, and your post is one of the helpful ones and seeing how you did it im confident enough to do the cic retrofit project. If you dont mind, could you let me know the exact parts and part number needed for the retrofit? Many thanks..
